What is the climate like in Cuba?
Cuba's climate is tropical, seasonally humid, with maritime influence and semi-continental features; however, there are other climatic periods located in the mountainous systems and on the coasts. Periods are defined as: low rainy from November to April and rainy from May to October.

To travel to Cuba it is necessary to:
-Possess a negative PCR result, performed 72 hours prior to travel.
-Mandatory PCR upon arrival in the country and another one on the fifth day.
-Compliance with the institutional isolation of all travelers arriving in the country.
-Resident Cubans will be isolated in the centers set up in each of the provinces. Their stay and transportation will be free of charge.
Foreigners and non-resident Cubans will be isolated in designated hotel facilities in each territory. Travelers will assume the costs of their stay and transportation.
-In the case of a positive PCR test, the sanitary protocols established in the country will be applied.
Is medical attention guaranteed in all Cuban hotels?

What forms of payment are authorized in Cuba?
The national currency in Cuba is the Cuban Peso (CUP), which is equivalent to 100 cents. Is any medical-health insurance required to enter Cuba?
As of May 1, 2010, Cuban authorities require a travel insurance with medical expenses coverage to enter the country.
When traveling to Cuba you can purchase such insurance in your country of origin, prior to the trip, or you can purchase it upon arrival in Cuba, at the point of entry to the country.

How can I get cell phone and Internet service?
Upon arrival you can purchase a SIM card, called Cubacel TUR, valid for 30 days after activation, which contains a basic package for US$25 or its equivalent in other freely convertible currencies (MLC), which includes 1 gigabyte of data for Internet connection, 20 minutes for calls and 20 text messages.

Once the purchase has been made, the customer may pick up the Cubacel Tur SIM card directly at the José Martí airport, Terminal 3 at the CubaTur counter or at any ETECSA office at the destination.
On the other hand, at international airports you will have free Internet access for 30 minutes while at 4 and 5 star hotels access will be free of charge.
