Golf course with 18 holes, par 72, located on the Varadero Peninsula. Its 2,2 miles long, it borders the Meliá las Américas Golf & Suites Resort, Los Cactus, Tuxpan, Iberostar Bella Costa, Meliá Varadero and Sol Palmeras hotels.
Almost unique in the world for the existence of salt water lakes that communicate directly with the sea, and the existence of holes also located next to the sea, make this scenario a privileged element within the development of the game. It is the headquarters of the CubaGolf Tournament.
Varadero Golf Club, designed by the architect Les Furber, president of the Canadian company Golf Design Services, in a combination of styles, including the classic, with wide fairways delimited by trees, wide greens and little protected. The complement of this field is in its Club House, a place of obligatory meeting for the players after a day of work and which is called Mansión Xanadú and was designed in 1927 by the architects Cavarrocas and Govantes.
